Things are tense between the three main characters of Naruto these days…Sakura’s been switching sides so fast that no one can even tell anymore if she still wants to kiss Sasuke or kill him. Naruto’s rapidly becoming a one-man ball of crazy as he tries to stop the end of his world. And Sasuke’s so messed up and angry he’s moved from just wanting to take revenge on his brother Itachi to now basically just wanting to take revenge on everyone and everything in his path.
But it wasn't always this way. Back in the beginning, Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura were all just aspiring ninja-in-training, simply hoping to be the best in their class at Ninja Academy.
Though, if you dig deeper, you can see the seeds of chaos and complexity taking root even back in the beginning.
Naruto
Then: Wanted to be the best in Ninja Academy…and just make a few friends in the process.
Now: More determined than ever to become Hokage, leader of his village, and the most powerful ninja that ever lived!
Sasuke
Then: Irritated by Naruto and Sakura, but learning how to work with them on a team.
Now: His ulterior motives of revenge long since revealed, he’s moved further toward the dark side of the Ninja World…and attracted the ire of the leaders of the Ninja World.
Sakura
Then: Never a pushover, but ruled by her feelings. She would punch out Naruto for bugging her as fast as she’d pine over the brooding Sasuke.
Now: Truly a powerhouse in her own right, and trained by former Hokage, Tsunade, Sakura’s about to bypass the boys altogether and take the fate of the Ninja World into her own hands.
